With less than a fortnight until Christmas, nearly 75% of the songs on the UK Top 40 chart are holiday-themed. Wham!'s "Last Christmas" secures the top spot for the fourth time, while Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" claims the second.
We shared our favourite songs.
Vinnie Renton, 18, Wimbledon. My favourite - Bruce Springsteen's Santa Claus is Coming to Town. "This cover is emotional and powerful, reminding me of my family at home."
Least favourite - Chris de Burgh's Spaceman Came Travelling. "It gets on my nerves and brings back memories of working as a Christmas elf at the Chessington Garden Centre, where it was played on loop."
Ariana Koskela-Reyes, 18, Berkshire. My favourite - Wham!'s Last Christmas. "It's a classic oldie but goodie. I listen to it every Christmas while decorating the house and remember singing it at primary school performances. It's always been a part of my life."
Least favourite - Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas. "They've been playing it since September at Pandora where I work. Do not like it. Pretentious."
Malaika Kigongo, 19, Devon. My favourite - Justin Bieber's Mistletoe. "It's very upbeat. I'm not a huge fan of Bieber, but I love the song – it's romantic and modern. Not generic."
Least favourite - The Pogues' Fairytale of New York. "It's controversial, I know, because many people like it, just not me."
Charlotte Goodwin, 19. Favourite - Chris Rea's Driving Home for Christmas. "It feels very Christmas-y and brings families together."
Least favourite - Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You. "Overhyped, starts too early, and defrosts earlier each year."
Rositsa, 19, Plovdiv. My favourite - Brenda Lee's Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. "I first heard it in the Home Alone movie; it feels cosy and brings families together."
Least favourite - Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You. "It's sickening, and I've had enough."
Should there be a pub where Christmas songs are banned?
Vinnie - Yes, I'm not a massive fan of Christmas. There should be a place to get away from it. Ariana - No, it's sad.
Malaika - I'm tempted. Originally, I thought no, but it might be nice.
Charlotte - Don't know. I can understand the need for a break, but also, you couldn't get away with a pub with no Christmas music.
Rositsa - Definitely not. I don't like the idea. Christmas is my favourite holiday.
