RELATIONSHIPS: long-distance romances

Valentine’s Day is here – not so good if you’re in a long-distance relationship. Holidays are hard when you cannot be physically together - but there are still ways to celebrate.

1.      Host a virtual date

This is one of the best ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day together.

Why not share a delicious meal with your partner on a video call or have a chat about each other’s day?

2. Play games together

Streaming games together online. There are so many platforms to choose from where you can enjoy two-player games (like Discord, Teams, Zoom, etc.).

3. Watch a film

Both watch a film at the same time. Don’t forget to prepare snacks!

You can also use websites like “Teleparty” where you can both watch Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and chat about the movie.

All you need to do is agree on a movie and everything else is already done for you.

4. Cook together

We have games, movies, snacks but what about the main dish.

Why not cook something delicious together?

Just grab the recipe book and let the cooking begin.

5. Buy a Love Jar

You may wonder what a “love jar” is. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!

A love jar is filled with cute little love notes.

All you need to do is order it online (or even better - make it yourself) so that you can enjoy sweet messages every day.

6. Take a matching pic in different places

This is also a great surprise for your other half.

You can both take pictures in different places and set them up as each other’s wallpaper.

7. Send them something handmade

A gift doesn’t have to be expensive to be good.

Handmade presents show that you have put the time and effort to make something special for your partner.

This shows how much you care about each other even without being physically together.
